City of Buenos Aires September 9, 2010 PRESS RELEASE
Under the resolution of the City Legislature in Special Session on September 8 convened by the PRO block, declare:
1 - Law enacted by the legislature is a sham. Could not be otherwise given the simplistic treatment improvised Macrismo has given the issue of security and so-called "motochorros."
The Macrismo forced the passage of a law, without exhausting the discussions in the committees and above all without building the necessary consensus between different political blocs, and sustaining always raises rejected by all social actors involved the use of motovehículos.
2 - The imposition of the use of vest domain number contradicts the Constitution of the City in Article 13.9 to establish a rule involving "dangerous without crime" affecting the group of couriers and motorcyclists.
3 - We salute the efforts of opponents who managed to block that useless Act expires upon the expiration of 180 days of their official publication.
4 - That our Union, as it will be announced on September 8, continues in a state of alert and mobilization, near the protest actions against the clauses incorporated by the PRO stigmatizing and discriminatory and to demand the regularization of our business that the Executive Porteño delay since August 2009. We understand that the adjustment of our business is the best starting point to resolve the uncertainty.
